THE LETTER BOX PROJECT 2012

I want to let you know of an exciting new project we have at the Sculpture Gardens this year for people to be involved in creating funky, crazy letterboxes for

 

 The Letterbox Project

 

Calling all Artists, Home Handymen, Engineers, Creative Souls, Builders, Gardeners and Craftspeople.

 

Can you do better than this???

                                                                                                 

                                                       Carol Whitelaw (a rural delivery contractor) with a letterbox in need of a makeover.

 

 

There is always a sense of expectation when you open your letterbox each day of hand written treats and presents.

What is hiding in there?

 Have you got a letter from a loved one, a birthday card, a cheque or a  letter from Bonus Bonds saying you are the winner of the big prize????

 

You are invited to let your imagination go wild and create a letterbox that challenges the standard New Zealand letterbox. Use any material eg mosaic, concrete, ceramic, wood.etc

 

The letterboxes will all be for sale and displayed along the Sculpture Trail at Kaipara Coast Sculpture Gardens as part of the Exhibition 2012.

 

We are looking for Rural Delivery and suburban letterbox designs; just make sure it fits with NZ Post standards for size, ease of access for your rural delivery contractor etc

 

Prizes for the most original, most bizarre, most creative, most colourful and people’s choice letterboxes.

Please deliver your letterboxes to Kaipara Coast Sculpture Gardens at 1481 Kaipara Coast Highway.
